Apply

Interested students apply to the program via IFLP’s online application.

Students complete a Legal Technology Assessment and obtain “Qualified” status in Word and Excel.

Interview

IFLP interviews students who have completed an application and refers qualified candidates for employer matching.

MATCH

Employers interview and select candidates then extend internship offers.

ADMIT

Students are admitted to the IFLP program when they accept an offer from an internship employer.

 
 

How to Apply

  1. You must be a student currently enrolled at a member law school.

  2. You must complete the online application in a single session. We use a third-party application system (Breezy HR). Click on the appropriate button at the bottom of this page for the applicable online application. You may not save your application and come back later to finish and submit it. Download a PDF application to prepare your answers for the online application.

  3. You are required to upload the following three documents with your application. Please attach these documents as PDF files when prompted to in the application form. We encourage you to consult with career professionals at your school about how to prepare your resume and cover letters:

    • Resume

    • Cover Letter: addressed to “Institute for the Future of Law Practice, Chicago, IL” that clearly and concisely explains your interest in the program, in no more than one page.

    • Written Assessment: complete according to the instructions in the assessment prompt.

  4. IFLP is required to collect information about the racial composition of its student body. IFLP is committed to equal opportunity for all applicants. Please see our Racially Nondiscriminatory Policy.

  5. The application process occurs on a rolling basis. You are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible so you will have access to the most internship placement opportunities.

Application for U.S. Students

The 2020 IFLP Boot Camp and Internship program is open for students who attend an IFLP Member School in the United States. The application is open from September 16 - November 30, 2019.

Please upload only PDF files as part of your application.

 

 

Application for canadian Students

The 2020 IFLP Boot Camp and Internship program application will open for students who attend an IFLP Member School in Canada in mid-November, 2019. Please come back to apply then.

 

Application for EUROPEAN Students
